  1. From time to time I will add a photo here that I think is worth showing.

The first, is not one that I took, but my grandaughter took it about 3 years ago and even then she showed that she has inherited her grandfather's "eye" for an interesting image. She now has the use of her mother's digital SLR camera and often takes remarkably good photographs.

  2. Lins I love your dog, she's quite beautiful, you mentioned she is referred to as a leopard catahoula. Here we call that colouring "brindle".

Your pic of the birds is fantastic too, how neat to get them synchronised like that ! If you are having problems resizing your photos so they are smaller, one of us would be happy to help so you can add more :)

  3. I have a little Fuji Finepix S1500 digital camera. One of the reasons I like it is that it has a viewfinder as well as the screen display, and I much prefer to set up a photo using the viewfinder. It seems these days, unless you go to an SLR digital, there are very few digital cameras with a viewfinder.

The camera does al I need, and a lot more, and it suits my needs. Also has a great grip on the side so I can hold it securely.

  4. This story, and the one we did the week before about Adam, reminded me of a story I listened to when I lived in Papua New Guinea about Adam and Eve. The story is in New Guinea pidgin - or tok pisin - as it is called there.

Today, someone sent me a link to that story and some others that I had lost over time. I thought I would provide the link to the story so that anyone who might be interested could hear how the Melanesian people of New Guinea describe the story of Adam and Eve.

I haven't worked out how to seperate it from the other stories, so feel free to listen to the others as well, there is "liklik redpela hat" (Little Red Riding Hood); "tripella likilk pik" (The Three Little Pigs).

    Enjoy :)

  5. Hi Stormy, what kind of activity exactly would you like to see? Are you wanting to know what kind of photography we might be interested in?

I have a really neat little camera and as my husband was a published photographer and we had our own darkroom, I gained a love of photography, but perhaps more from the appreciate of a really good photograph, to actually taking a good one myself.

My favourites are people and b&w format, but I also love interesting photos of places and landscapes. I'm not much into the holiday snapshot type of photograph, although I've taken lots of them in my time. My grandaughter has developed a love of photography thanks to her grandfather's influence and she has taken some amazing "abstract" photos in the past couple of years, she also has a natural "eye" for what will photograph well.

  6. That looks really good Casa I shall have to try it. !!

Also, I recently bought a Dutch pancake maker (Poffertjes) and I have a recipe, but how on earth do you cook them in those little holes and turn them over to cook the other side? Mine taste good but look quite messy lol
