Happy Birthday Dawn - have a fantastic day
-
I think the pyramids are amazing, we were taught about them in school and I've always been fascinated. My parents visited Egypt many years ago and saw the pyramids and said they were quite fantastic. I hope I get to see them one day.

LOL Henry !!!!!!

Fantastic ! Not a quick and easy recipe but one that will be the star attraction on the dessert plate. I remember a pic you showed of the finished product a while back. I AM going to try this one for sure, I can taste it already. I used to make a very acceptable sponge cake but that was years ago, I'll keep fingers and toes crossed the next one turns out properly

Laylah is 10kg and quite short, Reekoh will be a fairly large boxer (according to his current paw size) and probably over double Laylah's weight when fully grown. He's full of fun and energy and loves Laylah's tail (which is very fluffy and curls back over her body).

Some of you know my daughter recently lost her Border Collie and they recently got a Boxer puppy. His name is Reekoh and he is a real cutie. He and my dog Laylah have become best friends and they play and play together for hours until they both fall asleep. Only to wake and start all over again. It's great now as Reekoh is a puppy but he's growing fast and in no time at all will be much bigger than Laylah. It will be interesting to see how they interact then. Here is a pic of him taken last week at my house, looking out of my gate.

Damper is a cross between bread and scone mix and it's made into a large round "loaf" and cooked in a ground oven if you're camping, or in the kitchen oven if you're at home. We have it with butter and strawberry jam and a cuppa.

That sounds so good, I shall definitely be trying it out .. I have a friend staying over in the next week or so and I think she and I shall have this for dessert

Great Pics Casa, I've never been very good at photographing flowers

LOL .. for a moment you had me worried when I saw the title of the topic

LOL Casa, the normal fare for Australia Day is a bbq out the back followed by a game of cricket in the yard using mum's washing basket as stumps. Then the bbq is followed later in the day with damper and a cuppa. It's a pretty relaxed day for most, and if it's nice weather everyone heads to the beach.

Casa I think we need you to make these and send us samples so we can taste them, they all look so good

Thanks Henry

Going to try this over the weekend Casa, when my almost 9yr old grandaughter and I spend a night together

Today is Australia Day - it's a bit like Fourth of July and is the day Australia celebrates settlement and just generally being Australia.
So, happy Aussie Day (that's pronounced ozzy, not ossy) to all the Australians
