  1. A tourist in Vienna walks through a graveyard and, all of a sudden, he hears some music. No one is around, so he starts searching for the source.

He finally locates the origin and finds it is coming from a grave with a headstone that reads: "Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827."

Then he realizes that the music is the Ninth Symphony, and that it is being played backward! Puzzled, he leaves the graveyard and persuades a friend to return with him. By the time they arrive back at the grave, the music has changed. This time it is the Seventh Symphony, but like the previous piece, it is being played backward. Curious, the men agree to consult a music scholar.

When they return with the scholar, the Fifth Symphony is playing, again backward. The scholar notices that the symphonies are being played in the reverse order in which they were composed, the 9th, then the 7th, then the 5th.

By the next day the word has spread and a throng has gathered around the grave. They are all listening to the Second Symphony being played backward.

Just then the graveyard's caretaker ambles up to the group. Someone in the group asks him if he has an explanation for the music.

"Don't you get it?" the caretaker says incredulously. "He's decomposing."

  2. A couple had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

When they were asked what their secret was to a long lasting marriage they said:

"We take the time to go out to a restaurant two times a week. A candlelight dinner, soft music and a slow walk home. She goes on Tuesdays, and I go on Fridays."

  3. In the last few days, we received information from a close relative of Spike's that confirmed what we all had feared.

Spike passed away on November 17th, 2011.

We are greatly saddened by this news, but at the same time we are grateful that we now know where Spike has been. Spike was greatly respected and well liked, not only by the koach.com staff, but by all chatters as well.

We shall remember him with a smile and be thankful of the time we spent with him in chat.

  4. A French man nearly got away with stealing a number of priceless paintings from the Louvre.

However, after planning the robbery and successfully getting past security, and getting in and out of the museum, he was captured only three blocks away when his Econoline van ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied, “I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh.”
