  1. Some criticism/suggestions (don't worry, nothing too harsh.. ): Since you're dealing with vehicles: you could change that warped arrow (path) into a more road-like structure (lines, black, nothing overly colourful/flashy though). You should try to tighten up the outline of the "B" in Burnett. Nothing some vector tweaking won't fix. Yes, I know it was a five minute render - but that's just asking for suggestions.
  2. There's always a reason, and it's usually a good one. It's not up to me to understand or agree with it, however the case.

  3. Happy belated birthday, you dang hippie. You and your newfangled tackoneko stuff! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  4. Damn dirty hippies. GET OFF MY LAWN!
  5. Happy belated birthday, Star. You're an amazing person and should relish the achievements you've made this past year. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  6. This is something I made today and it was so good that I almost didn't want to put it back into the fridge (dangit!). Chia seeds are extremely healthy for you; but, don't eat too many your first time, your stomach will feel a bit funky after a few hours. Onto the recipe! Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup of Chia Seeds 1 cup of milk (this can be any kind of milk - I used hemp milk, unsweetened) 2 Tbps of Coconut Sugar (can be replaced with any kind of sugar or sweetener substitute) 2 Tbps of Cocoa Powder 2 tsp of Peanut Butter (or any kind of nutty butter - I used walnut butter with banana extract) 1 tsp of Coconut Oil Directions: Easy, really! All you do is pour the milk into the container, pour in your dry stuff (chia seeds, coconut sugar, cocoa powder) - stir until it all breaks down, dump in your peanut butter and coconut oil - stir for five to ten minutes. It seems like a long time, but it helps break everything up. Throw it into the fridge for a few hours (or even over night). The longer you leave it, the larger the chia seeds will become - they will absorb all of that yummyness. Keeps for at least 3-4 days.
  7. For The Cake: Non-Stick Cooking Spray 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 cup sugar (I use Coconut Sugar, which is 1:1 ratio with regular sugar) 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla (imitation will suffice, but investing in real vanilla extract is always a good thing!) 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 3 Tbsp. Chia seeds 1 cup plain Greek Yoghurt 2 mangoes, diced (2 cups, roughly) 3 Tbps diced, candied ginger For The Glaze: 3/4 cup Confectioners' Sugar 2 Tbps orange juice 1 Tbps melted butter Directions: 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (Gas Mark: 4, for you EU/UK/AU people). Lightly spray a bundt cake pan with the Non-stick cooking spray (set it to the side). 2: In a medium bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and chia seeds) and whisk them together. 3: In another medium bowl, blend the oil and sugar together. Then, beat in the eggs and vanilla extract. 4: Mix the dry ingredients into the egg mixture you've just created, little bits at a time; alternate with the Greek yoghurt. 5: Carefully fold in the mango and ginger, then pour the batter into the cake pan. 6: Bake at 350°F (Gas Mark: 4) for 25-35 minutes. Check with a toothpick, if you can poke a toothpick into the centre of the pan and it comes out clean - it's finished! 7: Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool (5-10 minutes should be enough) 8: Place your hand over the cake and flip it over to remove it from the pan, allow it to cool entirely on a wire rack (preferably) 9: In a small bowl, mix together the Confectioners' sugar, 1 Tbsp of the melted butter, and the orange juice. Blend until smooth. If you wish for a thicker glaze, add more of the Confectioners' sugar, a little at a time (to make sure it doesn't end up TOO thick..). 10: Once the cake is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over it. This is actually a really good cake (of course, as I'm partial to mangoes!). Chia seeds are great for energy; just be careful not to eat too many of them at once.
  8. The best thing about this recipe is that it doesn't require any baking. (: These "quick serve" cookies are great for impromptu moments where you have to grab a few things for friends. In fact, I might make some slight additions to this recipe and make a few for a few friends and I when we go to a concert in middle of July.
  9. Have a good dinner with your mum tonight and have a very happy birthday Alicia. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
  10. Happy belated birthday, Sky. Enjoy the geeky essentials, and the Windows 8 Samsung tablet. Hope there wasn't too much liquor, though it's sometimes quite difficult to know either way, sounding like a girl and all on IRC . Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
  11. Pretty nice little recipe. I've done similar with mango jello with whipping cream and mango pieces, went well with the grandparents. Might have to try this at one point, sans pie filling (unless I find sugar free or reduced sugar). Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
  12. Happy New Year to everybody. May 2013 bring forth more inner and personal peace, understanding, knowledge, acceptance, and all the other good things in life. Just remember that we all are going to clash at times; yet, to let a minor conflict or difference in opinion to fester into something negative is a waste of time. Keep you heads up, hearts open. 13. Sounds like a definite adventure in the "Big Apple". I know it isn't exactly the territory that you're accustomed to; but, at least you're having a new experience. Such things make life more entertaining. I'm sure it's altogether a new world to experience and learn about. Hang in there and glad to see you back on IRC and the forums. 14. I extend my condolences and sympathies to her friends and family. May she have a peaceful and respectful rest. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
  15. Happy holidays and a postponed Merry Christmas. Have a great New Year and all that good stuff. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
  16. I'm not sure as to how to take this photo. But, at least you'll be ready if you were to go to a Broncos game. Heh. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
  17. I'll probably just chill out with the grandparents unless a party comes up that I'd feel welcome at. Might drink a little bit of whiskey or something to waiver in the new year. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
  18. Since there are some chatters that simply prefer using a client over something like web-chat, I've decided to do a guide to help those install a program called "IceChat" onto their computer. This client is enriched with emoticons and is fairly easy to use, once you get the hang of things. It's more straight-forward and simple to use than other programs (like mIRC) for those unfamiliar with using such a thing. First off, you need to download the program: CLICK HERE! When you first click on the link, it will bring you to a CNET page. As your download starts, your download bar (if you are using Internet Explorer) will appear and it will look a bit like this: Please click on the "Save" button that I have conveniently highlighted with a red square. Once your download is finished, you'll see that the download bar has changed; and that it looks as the following: As you may have guessed, you're to press the "Run" button. This will launch the IceChat Installer to install the program onto your computer. Once your computer has opened the program, you will start off with a screen that looks very similar to this: All you need to do is continue clicking the "Next >" button until the program is properly installed. Don't worry! This is easy, there's really nothing for you to worry about and the installer will tell you when it's finished. (: After the program has finally been installed, you should have an "IceChat" icon on your Desktop! Yeah, that's how nice and easy they want you to use IceChat (nice, huh?). Go ahead and double-click on that icon and you'll come to an interesting window. Here, it's simply asking for your NICKNAME - this will be the name that people on Koach.com will see you as. In this particular example, my nickname is going to be "YourNicknameHere". Once you've filled in your nickname to how you want it (Pancake, Waffles, IHeartPancakes, or whatever name you decide..), click the green arrow button to go onto the next screen. This is the "server" that you'll be connecting to. Here on Koach.com our IRC server is "chat.koach.com" and that's all you have to put into the box there! No frills, no whistles, no jumping over a hurdle .. you're fine, keep calm! As usual, we're going to go ahead and click on the green arrow button (the one that points to the right! d'oh!). Now you're going to have a MASSIVE window in front of you. For the time being, we're going to be focused onto one area of this window - just to keep things nice and simple! This is the left-side of the window that we'll be focusing on. You want to 'click' on chat.koach.com and then click on the connect button (both of which are highlighted in the above image). This will connect you to the network. Once you do.. Welcome to Koach.com! Hello there! Now that you're connected, we're going to take you to a specific channel (Chatroom) called #Old_MSN_Chatters - this is how it should look when you're about to join the room: Go ahead and type that in (at the bottom of the screen - the image should give you a roundabout location as to where this is). Now press "Enter" (on your keyboard, of course). Woohoo! You're connected, you're in a chatroom, and you're ready to roll. If you ever want to change any of your connection settings - you click on the "chat.koach.com" that you did when you went to connect and click on the computer with the blue sphere behind it (five icons from the left). It'll bring up a window like this: DO NOT CHANGE THE SERVER NAME OR PORT! Those settings are how you connect to the network! Don't even think about it. =P Nickname: This is the name that everyone sees when you're chatting. Alt. Nick: This is the name that IceChat will use if your normal nickname isn't available (like if you moof!) Away Nick: Whenever you mark yourself away or have been away from the computer for a little while, this is the name that IceChat will change your nickname to. All of the other stuff isn't important. Just have fun chatting, enjoy yourself, and if you ever need help - feel free to join #helpdesk (by typing in /join #helpdesk).
  19. This looks to be something I'd probably make for friends (as my family are timid when it comes to the heat, rofl). Thanks Henry, for sharing the recipe! If/when I ever get around to trying to attempt it, I'll update with how it came out. ;o
  20. I used to be absolutely obsessed with Kevin Mitnick when I was younger (yeah, I know - predictable). I was one of those tacky cybergeeks that always had some type of "Free Kevin/Free Mitnick" sticker on my backpack or a binder. His story is unique and rather interesting. There's actually a film out there that's called "Takedown" that illustrates Kevin Mitnick's capture and some of his well-known social engineering. It's a pretty good watch, if you're really all that interested in his story (and willing to sit through Ulrich portraying Mitnick). It's quite nice to have it 'resurface' after so many years. Obviously, as with all renown hackers (past and present), Mitnick is a security professional now. He's also been interviewed a handful (two or three?) times on Slashdot [a geeky technology website] - his last time having been about a year ago now (I think?).
  21. Okay, as it stands, the time was tentative and wasn't set in stone. If anyone can recommend another time that would be fitting, it should be fine. I just want to stay clear of both Reader's Chat (Saturdays at 8pm EST) and Recipezaar's schedule. This hasn't been 'started' yet, either. I'd start another topic with recipes and topic if it were. So I'm still open for any ideas that anyone else may have - be it by proxy of a staff member or from any user. In other words: input - give me loads of it.
  22. Lately, I have been considering having a weekly cooking chat. It would have two phases/parts of chat Theme: There would be a weekly theme that we would discuss, ask questions, swap favourite recipes here on the forums (and explain why they're fun/good). We may have a weekly recipe that all participants should attempt - level will vary, but this is an idea for much later. During the theme phase of the chat, we will discuss the theme, recipes that were shared on the forum for said theme, and discuss openly tips and/or tips. Question and Answer: During the Q&A portion of the chat, all users will be allowed to ask any question that they have on their mind. It would allow even the newest of cooks a chance to ask the more experienced in the kitchen (or equally experienced in different areas) questions that they have on their mind about recipes, menus, dinners, and such. This would most likely take place each week on Friday night, 8:30PM (20:30) EST. I'm wanting to get a feel as to the interest in such a chat and/or any suggestion as for times and day of the week that would be most convenient to the users that would take part in this chat. Feel free to either reply here or message me on the server.
  23. Happy Day of birth, Nanners.I hope you genuinely have a great day - you deserve it! Just try to enjoy every moment today. You're one of the nicest people I've ever met - so go out there and let loose (but not too damn loose, you never know what'll happen next!)
  24. This sounds a bit interesting, actually. I'm not a huge seafood fan, but I'm sure this could turn out rather well. I should try it for my grandparents, minus a few potatoes and plus a few herbs/spices.
  25. Superb recipe, actually. Depending on taste, you can always swap out the vinegar with a light vinaigrette, but not nearly as much (to deepen the flavour with something like bleu cheese or raspberry, etc). (: Just an idea to throw out there. Edit: I know you also said salad oil, mm.. it all depends on the type of salad oil you use, if one should use a vinaigrette. xD
