GRANDCHILD by definition: A grandchild is a special person in your life through a special person you gave life. A grandchild holds a special place in your heart, meant only for them to take part. A grandchild reminds you how to laugh and play just as you did before your children grew up. A grandchild is given to you as a gift from above, so show them how much they are always loved. Star Posted January 21, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 21, 2012 I heard someone on radio or TV the other day (I think it might have been Newt Gingrich during an interview) talking about grandchildren. He said as much as he loved raising his children, there was something different about grandchildren and being part of raising them. I am paraphrasing, but it was something like you see them as extending far into the future after you know you will be gone. Not having any, I do love one of my friend Maria's (the woman who helped me with dad his last year) so very much. Her name is Anjelica and seeing her grow up just mystifies me.
