Pickled Eggs

Pickled Eggs


2 cups Sugar

2 cups vinegar

2 cups water

1 stick cinnamon, broken in half

1 tablespoon whole cloves

1 medium onion, sliced

12 eggs, hard boiled


1. Bring all ingredients to a boil


2. Put eggs into jars pour in the brine, put lids on


3. Let stand in cool spot for about one week.


Notes: I usually use a couple of jars or whatever it takes to put up 12 eggs.

I will either use yellow or red onions.

For some variation, take one small jalapeno, cut in half. Deseed and cut into strips.

Put them in with the eggs for an extra nudge.
