TV_Tech Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Here is a lil 10" Admiral built in 1956 to mimic the '55 chevy (note the hood ornament handle and color scheme). This set will get the same treatment my other sets get (NOS tube set, re-cap, etc.) plus some more updating and modifying of the power supply to make this set safe to use. One side of the AC line is connected directly to the chassis (no power transformer) and the power cord is non polarized. This means that there is the possibility of getting a nasty shock should the chassis side be conneted to the hot lead. I'll also add a fuse and eliminate the selnium rectifiers replacing them with the modern silicon type. This will be a fun set to restore and use!! I plan to change the color scheme to a 55 chev red/orange and white. I find that scheme much more attactive. The following link is what the end result will be http://www.flickr.co...86676/lightbox/
