The Reluctant Dragon is one of our Favorite Fairy Tales, published in Grahame's collection, Dream Days in 1902, illustrated by Maxfield Parrish. The boy discovers he and the dragon are both struggling poets, and tries to convince Saint George that there's no sense in slaying a good dragon.
