CHAT SERVICE MANAGER (CSM)

Chat Service Manager was an all purpose tool that we used to manage room names and topics, search for and manage users, manage the network access list, monitor events, detect potentially bad rooms, monitor rooms for floods, and so on. We did not use it chat in rooms, instead we managed the chat service with it. The following screenshots do not show all CSM could do, but do give you an idea.

The following screenshot shows a partial view of the Event window, part of the Server window, and a sample room listing.

The following screenshot shows a sample of the network Access list dialog.

The following screenshot shows the close room dialog.

The following screenshot shows the right click options for the Users dialog.

The Suspect Room list (shown below) was a list of rooms detected by a bot that might contain a bad name or topic

The following screenshot shows a few tools that were included with CSM. Reset Rooms was used to close a large number of cloned rooms that were no longer in use or that had been created by flooders. The text converter  was used to examine raw data, and convert UTF-8 to readable text.
