  1. A mom had a secret recipe that she would not share with anyone, she said over her dead body, so when she died, the Christmas Cookie recipe was put on her grave stone. She got her wish, it was over her dead body!!!!!!!!!!! Ingredients: 1 cup of sugar 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (1 stick) 2 beaten eggs 1 tsp of vanilla 3 cups of flour 3 tsp of baking powder 1 tsp of salt 1 cup of cream Add the first 4 ingredients and beat them till they are smooth. Mix the last 3 ingredients into the first 4, alternately with the cream Chill the dough Roll the dough out with flour on the board to avoid sticking Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 8 minutes Cool the cookies and then frost them Frosting for the cookies: 1 cup of powder sugar water to mix the powder sugar with, stir the powder sugar till smooth.

  7. I admit it, that's what I normally do also and I use the chicken for enchiladas, sammies, soup, or whatever, its much easier and convenient, but I wanted to see what the chicken would taste like if I got a rub from food.com, and do it myself. (first time I have tried this lol) and also the first time I cooked it the crockpot, after about 5 hours the meat was falling off the bones, I left it a bit longer just to be sure, because Stormy doesn't normally like chicken, because he is afraid its not cooked at the bone, he has been served chicken that was undercooked and blood still at the bone, anyhow, when I pulled the chicken out I needed a spatula and a fork because the meat was so tender it was like pulled pork, and the flavor was pretty good. Anyhow enough babbling lol It turned out great and Stormy enjoyed the sammie I made.
  8. I used a whole chicken for this and I used all the spice rub. I put the spice rub under the skin and then on top of skin. I used olive oil to cover the chicken lightly so the spice rub would remain on the chicken while it cooked. 2 T of salt 2 T of white sugar 2 T of brown sugar 2 T of cumin I used a little more then 2 T, because I like the taste of cumin 2 T of chili powder I used a little more then 2 T, because I like the taste of chili powder 2 T pepper 1/4 cup of paprika Mix it together till its totally blended. I suppose you could used this spice rub on more then just chicken, I'm thinking maybe on some ribs, or mix it with some hamburger meat for tacos.

  10. That's a great dog. My brother had a blonde lab who just died today, the family is sad, I hope he gets a new puppy soon to love as much as Jack.
  11. 6 small yellow or red potatoes, your choice of potato that you like best. Kosher salt. 2 TBSP of Olive Oil Fresh ground Black Pepper In a small sauce pan, boil your potatoes for 12 minutes, in lightly salted water until fork tender. Pre Heat oven to 475 degrees Put your fork tender potatoes on a baking sheet, and with a potato masher, gently mash each potato with a little texture on the top of each of the potatoes. Drizzle the top of each potato with olive oil. Sprinkle each potato, generously, with salt and pepper. Bake until golden brown, and crisp 15 minutes. Variations: Add a pat of butter to each potato, before baking Add some cheddar cheese on top of each, before baking.
  12. I didn't believe this would work, so I just had to try it, as Stormy says, I see a new recipe and I just have to try it, but to my surprise, it did work and the cake is very good. To do this you have to change a few of the additions to the cake: water= you use milk instead oil= you use butter instead eggs= whatever the box calls for you add two more eggs Try this and let me know what you think, of course I made chocolate cake, because its the only one Stormy will eat LOL.

  14. Dry Ingredients 1 cup of cornmeal 1 cup of flour 2 teaspoons of baking powder 1/4 cup of sugar (optional) 1/2 teaspoon of salt Wet Ingredients 1 cup of milk or buttermilk 1 egg 1/4 cup of butter, melted Cheddar Cheese ( I used 1 cup ) 4 Breakfast Sausage cooked and chopped fine 2 Jalapenos remove seeds and pith (optional) slice thinly, the more seeds you leave, the spicier the muffins are. Mix dry ingredients, fold in the wet ingredients, I use an ice cream scoop to scoop the mixture into cupcake papers in muffin tin. Bake in preheated oven 400 degrees for 25 minutes. You may want to spray the cupcake paper so it doesn't stick to the muffin, I live and learn, I didn't spray it so when I tried to peel paper off muffin, the muffin pulled off with paper. Eat and Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!
